These sounds were created for various commercial and non-commercial collaborations. The music was composed as sound logos for branding/trademark purposes, to accompany live presentations as well as commercial advertising, which have been aired on television.

Infomercials

Our focal point in creating a modular presentation for a US-based advertising campaign, was to display an attractive and compelling product meant for a very specific market* which met the consumers’ expectations clearly.

For such presentations we considered the ability of each module of the site to communicate autonomously while when fitting together, would maintain an ideal overview.

The video footage was taken for this project while keeping in mind the potential of the images for further usage to be adapted into the companies’ future campaigns.

This project included:

- A photo-shoot of the products, the models and footage of the product experience;
- Sound design for conference purposes and for audio-branding;
- Recording of the voice-overs and sounds, including audio engineering
- Animation in 2D and 3D.
- Art Direction in branding strategies.

*Target group: Audiologists, ENT doctors, researchers, teachers and students

About the project

Lepeltje Lepeltje is an experiment of the human form and Cultural Zeitgeisten, a tribute to the New York – Nederland exchange. All the couples were hand picked not only because of their looks but also how their looks are part of their varying careers.

Motion Poetry the secret life of letters is a dance project (with phase 1 completed) exploring the possibilities of movement and language where motions represent the inner symbols of letters. These motions are read by a Kinect camera activating the projection of the letters in real-time.

Motion Poetry, The Secret Life of Letters. (phase 1, 2011)

The Secret Life of Letters’ is a celebration of the beyond;

the embodiment of the symbols behind letters,

the dance of our hearts while in our minds.

When we read a poem we feel motion within us; these feelings come from an unspeakable place, but we know this feeling well.

In researching letter symbology, surveying hundreds about their feelings on letters and working with a professional team of

an indian dancer,

a eurythmics specialist,

a ballet dancer,

a mime,

a calligrapher,

a modern dancer and

a choreographer,

we’re creating an alphabet of poetic motion to express, in physical gesture and eventually dance, the inner life of any poem written with Roman/Latin letters. Here below is a documentary and performance of the end of phase one, where we used a poem of 4 letters, entitled;

O, ow, o, wow, no ow on we now

It is a poem about the moment in life when you realize that a former pain has disappeared; the moment of awakening.

Our tech team then programmed this dance of symbols into a 3D camera

which ‘reads’ the motions of the dancer and projects the interpretation back onto the screen in the form of language:

So there you have it, phase one in the process of creating a living, moving poem.

In phase two, we will be moving towards structuring the entire alphabet, plus 11 movements of punctuation.

We look forward to showing you the result of a poetic dance with a new poem and all the letters.

Our being is embedded in actions before words,
as the mind goes through so many intricate cognitive processes
before letters form in our out of ourselves.

Our emotions are embedded in actions before words,
a feeling itself is an action, a word is an eventual vessel for the feeling,
but the feeling is before and beyond the word.

The celebration of this beyond,
the embodiments transplanted
between the symbols of letters and movement.

Through a caring and careful process of dialogue of alphabeticians, calligraphers, movement specialists and the collective consciousness,
MotionPoetry has become a celebration of the movement we all feel in language.
